What My Training is and how personalized training plan works.

What is on My Training page?

If you've subscribed to FitFit's Smart Personal Training, this is where you will find your weekly training plan after completing the questionnaire. Each week's plan incorporates a combination of Resistance training and Cardio training, which you will have to complete by end of Sunday in order to get a new plan the following Monday. Tap on each training to view the details - including number of circuits, list of exercises in each circuit, number of sets, and required equipment - on the workout overview page.


What are Resistance & Cardio training?


  • Resistance training, also known as weight training or strength training, is a form of exercise that improves muscular strength and endurance by exercising a muscle or a muscle group against external resistance. The external resistance can be dumbbells, resistance bands, water bottles, or even your own body weight - it could be any object that causes the muscles to contract. FitFit app uses minimal-no equipment exercises so that you can train almost anywhere - check out "Do I need any equipment to perform the workouts?" to see the basic equipment that you need, as well as their suitable substitutes.

  • Cardio training, also known as aerobic training, is physical exercise of low to high intensity that depends primarily on oxygen to fuel and generate energy. You have the option of performing your own cardio - be it low intensity (LI) or high intensity (HI) - or simply follow our provided cardio training. We use Tabata for our Cardio training - which is a form of HI Cardio - that increases your resting metabolic rate (RMR) in the 24 hours post-training, ultimately burning more calories than LI Cardio. LI Cardio, on the other hand, burns more calories during the exercise (due to the increased duration) but fewer afterwards.

 

Different fitness goals have different combination of Resistance and Cardio training. You either start from Beginner 1.0, Apprentice 2.0, Intermediate 3.0, Advanced 4.0 or Guru 5.0 depending on your fitness level and progress from there. FitFit's Smart Personal Training supports progression from Beginner 1.0 to Guru 5.5, where you will automatically be leveled-up based on your post-workout feedback and your readiness.
